Pramox HC Contraindications

Hydrocortisone - pramoxine should not be used by anyone who:

  • is allergic to hydrocortisone, pramoxine, or to any of the ingredients of the medication
  • has certain viral diseases such as varicella (Chickenpox), vaccinia, and herpes simplex
  • has untreated tubercular, bacterial, or fungal skin infections

Infected areas: Do not use Pramox Hc on infected lesions unless you are also using appropriate anti-infective medications as recommended by your doctor.

Pregnancy: Pramox Hc should not be used during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. If you become pregnant while using Pramox Hc, contact your doctor immediately.

Breast-feeding: It is not known if Pramox Hc passes into breast milk. If you are a breast-feeding mother and are using Pramox Hc, it may affect your baby. Talk to your doctor about whether you should continue breast-feeding.

Children: The safety and effectiveness of using Pramox Hc have not been established for children.
