It works by softening the stools and keeping water in the intestines. This causes colon muscles to contract and produce a bowel movement more quickly. It may take 2 to 4 days for Peg 3350 (Polyethylene-glycol 3350) to work.
Peg 3350 (Polyethylene-glycol 3350) may be available under multiple brand names and/or in several different forms. Seniors: If diarrhea occurs, stop taking Peg 3350 (Polyethylene-glycol 3350) and contact your doctor.
