Ulone Dosage

Adults: The usual dose of Ulone (Chlophedianol) is 25 mg (5 mL) 3 or 4 times daily as needed.

Children: The usual dose for children 6 to 12 years of age is 12.5 to 25 mg (2.5 to 5 mL) 3 or 4 times daily as needed. For children 2 to 6 years of age, the usual dose is 12.5 mg (2.5 mL) 3 or 4 times daily as needed.

Many things can affect the dose of medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. Worsening cough: If your cough gets worse or tends to recur, if you are coughing up phlegm or mucus, or if you have a Fever for more than 3 days, talk to your doctor.

Pregnancy: Ulone (Chlophedianol) should not be used during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. If you become pregnant while taking Ulone (Chlophedianol), contact your doctor immediately.

Breast-feeding: It is not known if Ulone (Chlophedianol) passes into breast milk. If you are a breast-feeding mother and are taking Ulone (Chlophedianol), it may affect your baby. Talk to your doctor about whether you should continue breast-feeding.

Children: The safety and effectiveness of using Ulone (Chlophedianol) have not been established for children less than 2 years of age.
