Checking if a pharmacy is licensed in British Columbia (BC), Canada is easier than you think. Simply follow these three steps to check if a pharmacy belongs to the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.

Visit the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia website

Navigate to the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia website and click on the “Find a Pharmacist or Registrar right over here as in the following image

Or navigate directly to this webpage: https://www.bcpharmacists.org/search-pharmacy

Search the pharmacy name

Enter the name of the pharmacy you are looking for and click the green search button to look up the College’s directory of pharmacies in British Columbia. For example, let’s look up our pharmacy: PocketPills

Check your pharmacy search results

If the pharmacy is indeed legitimate it will show up on the search results as in our example here at PocketPills

You should be able to see all relevant information for the pharmacy you are looking for such as the name and address of the pharmacy as well as the Manager’s name and phone number. 

You can also check the list of pharmacies on this webpage of the College’s website: https://www.bcpharmacists.org/list-community-pharmacies and then look for the pharmacy you are interested in. Since this is a long list, you can use your browser’s find shortcut command to quickly scan the webpage for the pharmacy you are looking for. For example, hold down the command + F     keys on a mac to start typing the pharmacy you are looking for. You can hold down Ctrl + F on a windows computer, or navigate to the “Find” option on your mobile’s browser.
